In the moment that a water-drop disrupts the surface of water, the movement reacts to gravity and a collective dance ensues. But as the water comes back down each piece returns to its own place. I wanted to express this moment for its capability to overcome, not for the chaos that might be experience. I thought of the feeling of the water, of all the acceptance and tolerance the water needs to assent to this moment. The pain from fallings, and the tenacity to return to its place. We may forget to watch moments like these when we find ourselves in front of them. They may seem to dark or too small to matter. But the patient water has much to teach us. This piece is a moment frozen in time.
