This piece is the first to be completed through audience participation. This nondenominational temple serves as a site for reflection and release of memories, wishes, and traumas. In Buddhism incenses are understood as a medium that connects us to heaven. By placing a burning incense into the temple, the audience’s wishes are released into the night’s air, the smoke carrying their hopes into the sky.
